I was jealous ( but a challenging jealousy !) when I saw the stencils of faces on the blogs of Michelle Ward, forcryeye ,Gillian Allen and Susan Warder.
Susan made Edward Scissorhands and Sweeney Todd !!!!! They are amazing !
I wish I had these stencils on a t-shirt or a bag !
She gave a tutorial on how to make the design for a stencil using photoshop as a help to see if you need any bridges in your stencil so the stencil is in one piece.

Yesterdayevening I finished the stencil of Gaia in photoshop.
This afternoon I made the stencil in plastic ( the acrylic from the Barbieboxes).
I printed my example made with photoshop and run it trough my xyron machine with repositionable adhesive, but with the print down so the adhesive is on the image.
Then I attached the image on the back of the plastic , so I could see the design.
I cut away all the black with my exactoknife. It’s quite some work, but it came out fine.

This was my first attempt on using spraypaint and it looked OK !
This is how the stencil looked :

I painted two pages in my journal with gesso and spraypainted the stencil in my journal .
Here is the result !

Thanks to Gillian I improved my photoshopskills further, together with all the other things I learned in this crusade.
You bet I’m looking forward to the next crusade !!
