April, another month, another crusade... it’s all about stencils and masks this time.

I promised Michelle I would be a good student and make my homework in the coming days, but as I was thinking about designs to cut a stencil, I thought..... “ I’ve been doing it a lot in the past ! There is a lot of stenciling in my house “ !

As my house is my creative space  ( for the past 15 years....)I can call my house also a canvas of my “art” !

So, I’ll show you what I have done with stencils in my house !

a design on a rusty tin can  once filled with lollipops: an idea for the doors of the children... I love this shadowstencils !

A month ago I used the stencil as a template for cutting tulips out of different papers for my “spring” canvas.

orange for my bedroom : even when it’s a rainy day, the orange color gives the impression it’s a sunny day... So I wake up happy every morning ( if I get easy out of bed, that’s another question...) The stencil of a sun is stencilled as a border on the four walls.

the design on the tiles in our “little blue room” ( the toilet...) gave the idea for the design on my plain white curtains in the dining room. I painted them with fabricpaint, so they can be washed when necessary.

So I made a stencil of it and my

daughter stencilled the design

daughter for the big help !)

I gave my walls a colorwash with

silverpaint and I used the same

silverpaint for the stencilling.

I scanned this curl of a copyright free book and enlarged it.

It embellishes the wall above my gasfire, what looked a bit plain before.

One of the things I always saved in the past was the sturdy plastic of the cardboard box in which my daughter’s barbies sat, when I bought them.

The plastic is for free and it is perfect to make a stencil out of it !
