Monday, March 26th found us on Little Brazil Street, on W 46th in midtown, to explore the fine cuisine of Via Brasil. 7:00PM came and we soon found ourselves enjoying Caipirinhas and Brahmas as well as assorted wines. In attendance were 10 of our regulars, Rob, Jen, Mike,Liz, Ray,Tania, Matt, Marcie, as well as Angel and myself. I have to say, the food was absolutely fantastic, really. We started off with what they called cheese bread, but was essentially hot cheese puffs and were delicious. Then after a nothing to special house salad, Angel and I shared two different dishes to get some variety for our main course. One was the skirt steak that came out on an enormous skewer or sword onto the plate, served with rice and beans, and some veggies I believe, and I had a type of shrimp scampi in garlic and oil with steamed veggies as well. Absolutely delicious, I was in heaven with our make-shift surf and turf. So, before too much ado, here are the details of the restaurant, cost was about $45 per person, weight staff very attentive, not too long a wait for food, not crowded. Live music Wednesday - Sundays I think? so we just missed it, but they have a nice set up with drums and a piano, looks like that might be worth a return visit in the future...

Please share your experiences with your various dishes, all the entrées looked fantastic, and it seemed like the general consensus in the group was great pleasure.
