The breathe amazes me. It is our life force. Here is the coolest thing, in the same exact moment a deep inhale can make you stronger and relax you. Awesome. Here is the bad news, it’s getting harder and harder to breathe in our toxic air. The pollution, the emissions, the waste... it is cutting our ability to stay healthy with the simple breath.

Enjoy the movie, it’s from Greenpeace.

Out.
Philly D

It is a beautiful spot and it’s also where Terry had to end his run across Canada. It hits me hard every time I stop. As soon as I got to the statue, and now even as I type this, I cry tears of gratitude. It is very emotional for me.

Breast Cancer has struck three of my aunts.
Leukemia has hit 2 of my cousins.
Pancreatic cancer took my Meme from us.
To many friends and family friends to count...

Thank you Terry. Thank you.

PD.

It’s the Run For One Planet [RF1P] team & crew hanging with my dog Austin [side note, pic taken with my iPhone]. We had the RF1P at our camp for the past two days. It was absolutely beyond incredible to spend time with these AMAZING human beings that are running around North America for our Planet.

This morning, we ran out with them [ I will post pictures later] and we just ran them to a major road. I was blitzed after 3 KM. They hit the road for about 12 hours a day. I was done after 15 minutes. I am freaked about by what this couple is doing.

Please please please DONATE today and help them build a LEGACY.

They loved hanging at YLCC, the energy was amazing and a lot of love was shared. I was talking to one of our counsellors and she said, “You can just tell how GENUINE they are.” I responded, “Well, you’d have to be pretty sincere about helping the planet if you are going to run around north america. To put your body through that physical and mental strain daily is HUGE. There is no faking that.”

Please DONATE today. More then this follow their BLOG and take your own ONE ACTION that will help us all change our world.
The actual event was POORLY organized and poorly run. However, I was there for the music and it did not disappoint.

Here is who I saw and a general review.

De La Soul.
Amazing, simply amazing. These cats had energy energy and more energy. They were fun and more then this, they demanded interaction from the crowd. They didn’t just let us watch. One of my all time favorite groups and they did not disappoint. My top moment was right at the end when Pluck 2 comes to the front of the stage and says, “You’re welcome, “ then they exited the stage. Awesome!

Pharcyde.
Re-uniting after 10 years and you could tell. No chemistry and I could not make out a word they said.

Rakim.
The legend Rakim, this is the main reason I bought a ticket. His DJ was Kid Capri, so it was pretty cool to see, but they had a lot of sound problems and he was about the leave the stage and you could feel the crowd turning on him. Thankfully they got it worked out and he hit up all the major classics. My boy Tak and I just kept looking over at each other with a little head nod, as if to say, “We are seeing Rakim, can you believe this, we’re seeing Rakim.” When I was 12, and had money to buy something, Rakim’s album was the first one I every bought. Legendary, but not the best sound.

Meth & Redman.
They are jokers and the crowd was hype on these cats, but I was fine going to get food. I’m not big on every song being about getting high.

Mos Def.
Another one I was hype to see. I am a HUGE Mos fan and I was not disappointed. I love his confidence and appreciation.

Nas.
The highlight of the night. Thousands of hands in the air, pumping it, and singing alound, “YES WE CAN, Change The World.” Chills up my spine for sure. It’s the chorus from a track off his new album. Track is called, ‘Black President.’ The album is amazing. Check it!

Battery life could be better and I’m sure as they improve the technology it will. For now, I am in love. As a mac user, it just flows with how I do business. I can type faster on this iPhone then I could with my Blackberry! 400 times better the blackberry for me. I can videos and my music with me, surf the next, play cool games, do anything really. Amazing!
I have many over my 33 years, my tops so far being my wedding day. However, my list is long, but last night I experienced a new one that will be moved to the top of the list. Here is the struggle I have, these moments are so powerful, it’s hard to put them into words. They are the moments where you tell people, “You had to be there to experience for yourself.”
I was hanging with my boys Stu & Ornj and we were driving home from a movie. Stu’s kids called to say good night. Stu has that SYNC call so the call was on bluetooth over the speakers. We all shouted hello to Matt & Emily and sang Matty happy birthday.

Stu talked to them one at a time and asked them each, “What are the 6 most important things in the world?” They rhymed them off and then each had a beautiful and loving conversation with their dad. It was truly amazing and inspiring to feel that kind of love.

It’s hard to describe, you had to experience it.

My boy Stu owns this beautiful place and over the past 16 years, many of my best friends have come from camp. Every child should go to camp... period.

I have my dog Austin with me and it’s taken him a few days to settle in because he really misses his mommy. She’ll come visit on the 20th and Austin will flip out for sure.

Week one just ended, look for me to put up pictures and a video within the next day or two. I always love the first week of camp. You can see how nervous the staff are and then watch as day by day their confidence blossoms. That confidence translates to the campers and by Saturday you see a collective of strong individuals. It is truly amazing to watch in action.

I think to myself, “Oh man, I wonder what this is running for.”

He and his partner are running for the PLANET. For us. To inspire action and create positive AWARENESS of what we can all DO to save our planet. Ghandi said “BE THE CHANGE” and these coolcats are living that philosophy with every fibre of their being.

Check this... they are running AROUND NORTH AMERICA. I didn’t say across Canada. I said AROUND north america. What? Outrageous. They started in Vansmack [vancouver] and I crossed their path outside of Dryden, ON.

They are looking for places to strop and speak so check there site and invite them to your community:

WEBSITE: http://www.runforoneplanet.com
BLOG: http://blog.runforoneplanet.com

I stopped and Matt took time to talk and take a photo with me and then we kept on running. On marathon everyday for 1 year to help our ONE PLANET. Awesome. I stopped into the RV and made a $60 donation. I will donate more.

My next goal is to get them to stop at our camp. Youth Leadership Camps Canada.
