I’m a teacher, teacher educator, researcher and educational consultant with a Doctorate of Education from Durham University in the United Kingdom. I began my career in Bilbao, Spain as an English language teacher. I subsequently moved to the United Arab Emirates University where I taught English and supervised a large and innovative programme of computer assisted learning for pre-undergraduate students. I currently work in the English Language and Literature Academic Group, National Institute of Education, Singapore. My research, writing and supervisory interests include:

I've developed, implemented and evaluated courses in the use ICT in education at pre-service, in-service and advanced levels. I've also designed, developed and managed computer resources including learning environments, networks and e-learning tools. I read, walk, swim, strum and cycle.
