I received my BA in art from Wabash College and my MFA in painting from Brooklyn College. I began teaching high school art in the New York City Public Schools after receiving my graduate degree in 1991 and worked in this system until 2000. During this time I also coached wrestling, girls tennis and boys and girls cross country teams.  I also taught in New Jersey for a few years at both the high school and college levels.

Three years ago I moved to Michigan with my family and began teaching in the Ann Arbor Public Schools. I have been with Howell Schools for the past two years.
