[1]  TVR Schedule Service

The TVR Schedule is the official factory service level with a checklist of over 40 items. This schedule therefore meets the terms of manufacturer-approved warranty schemes. SP prices include checking and adjusting every operation dictated on the TVR Schedule. Emphasizing that SP checks AND adjusts every item is important because the SP Low Mileage Service covers exactly the same schedule but certain items are reduced to check and advise which can save around £200, a useful amount for an older car that covers less than 3,000 miles per annum. Importantly, rather than simply reduce the work done to achieve an ‘attractive’ price, the SP approach means your car gets a full check-up for the lowest possible price and a report of further works (if applicable).

[2]  SP Low Mileage Service
Due to the low mileages some TVR owners cover during a 12 month period, the time element of the TVR Service Schedule is often overlooked and a service missed. The purpose of an annual service is, in particular, to examine the car for deterioration of fluids and rubber components. The SP Low Mileage Services are specifically for low annual mileage cars.

[3]  Tappet Adjustment

SP does not include adjustment of tappets in its servicing prices. The TVR Service Schedule stipulates that tappets in AJP8 and Speed Six engines should be adjusted at 12,000 miles however very often they require adjustment between services. For this reason tappet adjustment is listed as a separate fixed price.

[4]  Speed Six Oil Changes

The Speed Six engine carries up to 2.5 litres of oil in its engine sump in addition to the 6.5 litres in the oil tank. For EVERY Speed Six service SP extracts the old oil from the engine sump as well as the oil tank and changes both filters for a full 9 litre change.

SP prices include labour and VAT (unless otherwise stated). Any additional works will be notified in advance. Effective 1 March 2008.
