Satisfactory Academic Progress

for

Financial Aid Purposes

To be eligible for federal, state and most institutional financial aid at PGSP, students must make reasonable and timely advancement toward completion of their educational objectives. This is known as Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).  Students are evaluated on quantitative (number of units taken and completed successfully) and qualitative (grade point average) progress.

Satisfactory Academic Progress is evaluated from the first classes attended by a matriculated student at PGSP, regardless of whether or not the student received aid for these classes.  A student is reviewed prior to school certification of a student loans or other aid, prior to each loan disbursement, and at the end of each academic year in August.
