“It takes a village to raise a child.”

    Samantha Ball’s mother died suddenly of a heart attack during summer. An Acton resident her whole life and going into her senior year at Vasquez High School, Samantha wanted to graduate with her class.

    Being with her class would be best for Sam but since that didn’t work out, finishing school online as a good “second best”. She actually plans to start college during second semester of the 2007/2008 school year and major in criminal justice/ psychology.  (live video)

    Thanks to Acton Agua Dulce Unified School District Virtual Learning Academy online, she can. In fact by graduation time in 2008 Sam will not only have her high school work done but half of her freshman year in college will be completed as well.  (live video)
