On recommendation of General Manager Robert Neufeld, RCSD directors unanimously approved creation of a not-for-profit corporation called the Rosamond Community Services District Foundation. Valetino Beatty is to be grant writer for the foundation. The purpose of the 501C3 foundation is to accept grants for water purification, park activities and sewer maintenance.  (live video)

     Director Scherer commented that he wanted to make sure the new foundation did not conflict with any other activities already undertaken by local community groups such as schools, chamber of commerce, youth sports groups.

    Officers for the RCSD Foundation were elected and President Wood invited members of the public who wanted to sit on the new board of directors to step forward. By laws authorize fifteen members for the RCSD Foundation (live video)
