New $1 classrooms for Vasquez High School purchased from Los Angeles Unified School District wait in the high school parking lot on Tuesday morning July 22, 2008. Students, parents, trustees and community education supporters pitched in to move everything out of the old, leased classrooms last Monday and Tuesday. 

Trustee Ron Bird who heads up the facilities group for Acton Agua Dulce Unified School District said 50 people helped out to make this move which will save the District about $80,000. per year in lease payments.

Approximately 50 local volunteers helped Trustee Ron Bird move old classroom furnishings into the gym until new classrooms are ready.

Bird got strong, volunteer, community support for this temporary move from pro-education folks in Acton Agua Dulce.     (Live Video)
