Jerry Malkowski took over head football coach duties at Vasquez High School on Friday, June 13, 2008. A graduate of Valencia High School where he played offensive line and inside linebacker,  Coach Malkowski continued coaching at Valencia High School for five years while he attended College of the Canyons before coaching at Independent High School and attending San Jose State.

Mr. Malkowski will teach World History at Vasquez High School. His aunt is Jan Luksmore who teaches at High Desert Jr High School. 

At noon on June 13, Coach Malkowski met with all Mustang players returning to Vasquez football. Tim Jorgensen, Dean of Students/Athletic Administrator, will introduce Coach Malkowski to parents, new players and returning coaches on June 16, 5pm at Vasquez High School.
