After six weeks, and we knew it would someday come, the kids caught a cold. For Mateo it lasted 2 weeks and wouldn’t let go, and it turns out he has a mild case of sinusitis. Sydney caught it too, but it triggered her asthma, so although the cold was truly negligible, her asthma is not. So, antibiotics for the both of them, and they’re both home from school. We’re concerned about getting Sydney’s asthma under control mostly, and the antibiotics should take care of the rest.
Kurt’s stomach seems to be moderately better, but he is convinced that he needs to see a specialist soon after he comes back from his trip. He calls it his 40,000 mile check-up (now that he has just turned 40). The good news is that after moving away from our sick house in Tijuana, his nearly constant migraine has ceased.
