Ghana X2! 2008 & 2009
In February 2008, Pete made his way to the Lincoln Community School in Accra, Ghana. The staff had been primed by a visit from Melvyn Ramsden in the fall during the AISA conference they hosted. Indonesia (Sumatra X2)

Teachers and students at the Caltex American School in Sumatra, Indonesia are doing amazing work with the help Pete’s visit in the fall of 08 and 09. Sofia

Pete’s first on-line workshop the Anglo American School of Sofia has the teachers diving into spelling system with new confidence and curiosity. Thanks to them to proving that we can take advantage of this technology to teach a large group of teachers from across the pond!

Beijing (On-Line and On-Site)
Pete worked on-line with teachers from Beijing for a term long consultancy for the 08-09 school year. We did large group and small group staff workshops and classroom visits. Chicago
Pete was invited to present a full day workshop at the Illinois Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (IBIDA). See Pete’s article in their newsletter at this link. Bahrain
Pete ran workshops for Riffa Views International School, an ISS school in Bahrain as part of his Fall 09 trip to Asia and the Middle East. This was an introductory workshop for this new school that is making Real Spelling an integral resource for their literacy curriculum. Doha
The spark for Pete’s trip to the American School of Doha began with Grade 4 teacher Ilana McGrath’s attendance at our first Summer Course. She returned the two following years, now with other fellow ASD star Katrina Theilmann in tow. The success these teachers had in the classroom (e.g. see here) spread interest around the school.
