PRIVATE LESSONS
PETE DRUMMOND is available for one on one lessons. Lessons are held in Sydney’s Inner West, at Five Dock Music School (Level 1, 138 Great North Road, Five Dock).
Lesson duration is 40 minutes.
Lessons are conducted on a weekly or fortnightly basis (depending on Pete’s touring schedule) between 1pm-9pm.

LESSON PHILOSOPHY:
Ultimately the most important thing to assess is what your YOUR goals are, and which skills you need to obtain or improve, in order to achieve these goals.
Pete has developed a graded method for students, which can be followed from Level 1 onwards. Giving you the ability to identify weaknesses in your playing, and maintain a record of your improvement in any given area.
For example, in order to function well a full-time working musician, we need to have: consistent time and the ability to adjust your time-feel to suit various situations, fluency in a wide range of musical styles and a knowledge of standard repertoire, solid chart-reading and writing skills.
Other skills (such as Double Bass Drumming, Odd Meter Studies, Artificial Subdivisions,
Polyrhythms, Metric Modulation, Motion Studies, Melodic & Harmonic Co-Ordination, Soloing, Ostinato Studies) may also be applicable if you wish to “specialize” in a specific area of the music industry.
After an initial discussion with Pete, you can begin to work with a clear vision of what you wish to achieve. Then with dedication and consistent practice, utilizing the tools and techniques given to you in each lesson, YOU CAN develop the necessary skills to get you there!
