FCV Vista Fury U17 is looking for top level players interested in playing in college to join our team. The Fury was runner up in the WAGS Championship Division and a 2008 State Cup semi-finalist. The team will be playing in the Jefferson Cup and the Red Bull division of the PDA College Showcase this spring. The Fury is coached by Fernando and Natalie Arias. Fernando is one of the premier coaches in the area. Fernando's teams have won 10 VYSA state cups. He has extensive experience placing girls into college soccer programs.
Coach Fernando
Fernando Arias has been the coach and trainer of the Vista Fury for over six years. Since Fernando began coaching the Fury, he has led the girls to a WAGS Division 1 first place finish twice, advanced to the State Cup Final Four two years in a row, won the Virginia State Cup 2006/7, won the prestigious WAGS tournament in 2003 and 2004, won the Jefferson Cup Championship in 2005, and either placed as a finalist or champion in various other tournaments.
Fernando was born in Venezuela and played soccer for his country. He has been coaching for over eleven years. His previous coaching experience includes the talented and well-known Vista Vipers and the Vista Firestars. The Vista Firestars won seven consecutive State Championships, the Vista Vipers won one State Championship. Between the two teams, their resume also includes three regional finals, with one win as well as placing in one National Championship.
In addition to coaching the Vista Fury, Fernando trains other girls from various teams in the Washington area. His experience and expertise is shown through the accomplishments of his players. He is the force behind the Fury and we look forward to continued success in the coming years.
