1. Broadband

The site has been designed to be used by broadband users. We wanted to make it as visually interesting as possible and to include short lengths of QuickTime video. This means that people using dial-up will find that pages will often take a long time to download and fill.

Sorry! - but we have built the site with future use in mind.

2. Web Browsers

This site uses a lot of PNG files to display text and graphics and as a result the use of up-to-date browser software is essential. Web browsers are usually free to download from their providers and the site has been tested with three common browsers which we would recommend -

 

Links are shown to the right through which you can download an up-to-date version of each of these browsers.

These are not large pieces of software and we would thoroughly recommend downloading all three and trying them on individual websites that you visit. One browser often works better than the others on problem sites

3. QuickTime Videos

Video clips on this site are displayed using QuickTime.

To view them you must have an up-to-date version on your computer - this should be no problem as again it is offered as a free download from Apple.

With over 10 million downloads per month Apple’s multimedia player enables Mac and PC users to watch a variety of common video formats.

                             present  on match report and news pages  - if it doesn’t work for you check your browser and your security settings.

This site has been designed and built by members of Penryn Rugby Club on an iMac using iWeb software.

It is our first attempt at developing a site for the club and we hope it will evolve and grow over the next few years as our experience and the software improves. We have tried to make it a site that can be added to easily as so many small websites end up as graveyards with out of date items. This means it may take slightly longer to load than some professional sites and may be a bit quirky in places - but we feel the benefits of having the content under our own control outweigh these issues.
