Sponsorship By Rowe’s

The Club has announced the signing of a long term agreement for sponsorship with one of the largest private sector employers in Cornwall, Rowe’s the bakers.

Rowe’s who started operations in 1949, are a rapidly expanding business that runs a network of shops across the county as well as supplying the major supermarket chains nationwide with a variety of sweet and savoury bakery goods. Rugby fans will know that Rowe’s are also a major sponsor of the Cornish Pirates and Redruth RFC, but also support local sports clubs including Penryn Athletic AFC and St. Gluvias CC.

Penryn RFC Club Secretary, Peter Le Patourel commented, “ We are delighted to have secured long term support from our neighbours at Rowe’s with whom we’ve always enjoyed a great relationship. Signing this deal is a major boost for amateur and youth rugby in the Penryn/Falmouth area. It lays down another financial building block in the development and prosperity of rugby at the Memorial Ground, a facility that the Club provides, through volunteers, for the benefit of our community.

Paul Pearce, Marketing Manager for Rowe’s added, “We’re delighted to be expanding our portfolio of sponsorship deals with local sports teams. We’re proud of our Cornish heritage and are delighted to be given the opportunity to support yet another iconic Cornish team. Penryn RFC are a fantastic example of a club, providing the chance for the local community to support and play the game they love and we’re very much looking forward to working with them over the coming seasons.”
