British Lions Trust Fund

Following a very successful visit from the 1971 British Lions Penryn RFC are pleased to report that a Penryn British Lions trust fund has now been set up

The profits raised from the event are being shared between the Fund and the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Les Williams who acted as a catalyst for the Lions Reunion.

The purpose of the fund is to enhance the playing standards of junior rugby in Penryn and the surrounding area, and a number of options are being considered to achieve this end result.

It is the wish of the trust to provide on going support for junior rugby in the area and the trustees are formulating plans to continue raising money on a long-term basis. They are also keen to consider suggestions from all sources that will help to enhance the playing standard of junior rugby in the locality.

In May of next year a Gala Dinner with guest speakers from the Rugby World will take place at the Falmouth hotel and the profits will go towards cementing the trust’s foundations.

The following trust members may be contacted if you have any queries or suggestions for both raising more funds and ideas for helping junior rugby.
