Sky Living for Sport – Wild Camp
Penketh High took their Living 4 Sport pupils on a wild camp overnight recently. The pupils had to carry all their belongings themselves and camped in a cave. We had some great weather and fab views although the midgies had a good feast on us all! Accompanying the group were Sue Jones (SSCO at PHS), Liz Hutt (PHS Inclusion Coordinator), Craig Hinkins (Mountain Leader) & James Howes (SSCo Inclusion).
See pics.
We also had a visit from a Sporting Champion this term – Kerry Williams England & GB Hockey Player. She gave our students an inspirational talk and they took part in some team building activities – see photo

Penketh High in Partnership with B&Q
This continues to flourish and Miss Jones & Mrs Hutt recently took some of our ‘budding’ gardeners along to the Milner Street store to learn how to make hanging baskets. John at B&Q helped the pupils work out cost and savings so that next summer we can make our own and sell them at the school car boot sales at a profit. This will keep us in the red to buy more seeds etc for the garden. Since the visit the pupils have each made a basket from scratch for their parents.
