Long road of learning

Whoa! Been a long time since I posted anything... with no good reason.

I’ve been prepping to go back to school and I’ve been so excited about that. Thing is now, like I said in a previous post, I’m trying to attack the more ‘technical’ side of illustration - things like anatomy, composition and colour.

I’ve been looking at/studying/stealing ideas from artists here and there. Studying them works out better than just looking at them or stealing them.

I really need to understand why these things work the way they do. I think I’ve been getting better but, hell, who knows?

These sketches were all done in copics. As you can see, I’m a wuss when it comes to being bold with colour. Need to get passed that.
