Colour!! How I hate thee... but can’t get enough of thee!
 
I know, I know. Not only does this look a tad bit disturbing, it’s also not well done. It was a learning exercise for me. This is my second digital painting (first was Fortis) and I decided to try to tackle something with more textures to it. The background wasn’t thought out at all, hence it being just some slap-dash thing. Overall I’m happy with it as a learning piece. I may go back and add some more darks and highlights to make the figure pop more. Again, that’s my fear with colour taking hold. *sigh* The second piece is a WIP/Learning type thing. I’ve been fooling around with the brushes in PS and was trying to find something that was close to a watercolour wash-type brush and I think that I came pretty close.
