Born in Rock Island, IL, Paul atteneded Millikin Unviersity in Decatur, IL, graduating cum laude with a degree in music and a minor in theatre. As a professional musician, Paul has been privileged to travel the globe performing in a variety of venues and often conducting as music director. His three-year stint as resident music director of Playhouse On The Square in Memphis, TN, garnered him several awards, including Best Music Direction for The Spitfire Grille and A Man of No Importance.
Paul has gone on to conduct national tours, lead bands aboard cruise-ships, and perform regularly in dueling piano bars. As a composer, Paul’s work has been featured in several short films, and he co-wrote and co-produced the full-length album Post Meridian. in 2007, he fulfilled a personal dream by living and teaching in West Africa while studying percussion
