Model Contest

1. •Entrants (including handicrafts) must be a DCE registered delegate.
   

2. •Judging will be by popular vote. 
   

3. •All model and module entries must be N Scale.
   

4. •Each entry must be accompanied by the official contest entry form.  Forms will be posted on this site when they become available.
   

5. •A Youth Award will be available for all 18 categories.  Entrants must be a family member of a convention delegate, registered for the convention, and not yet 18 years of age on June 29, 2008.
   

6. •NMRA Judging will be available - see note below.

16. 16)Consist - Favorite Train (42" maximum length. Track will be provided.)
    

17. 17)Handicraft - Painting, Needlework, Woodwork, etc.. Must be railroad related.
    

18. 18)Module - Modules will be judged in the convention hall.  A separate ballot will be provided for the module contest; however, these ballots must still be placed in the ballot box located in the contest room.
    

19. 19) Model - Vehicles (automobiles, trucks, hi-rail equipment, boats and aircraft)
    

20. 20) Model or Module - 1st Annual Arlene Langford Memorial Award (For The Most Humorous, Whimsical, Amusing Model or Module)
    

 

 

NMRA judging will be available for those NMRA members who are working toward their Master Model Railroader.  Please follow the link to NMRA to download information and NMRA judging forms. click here 

If you are going to have an entry for NMRA judging, please contact Contest Chairman Steve Simpson so he can have an idea of the number of entrants.  There will be a limited amount of space for NMRA judging for scales other than N Scale. All entrants wishing to have NMRA judging must be registered for the DCE.
