She was there on the roof of Apple when the Beatles famously performed "Hey Jude" on TV. She watched as they recorded at Abbey Road, and was best friends with George's wife, Pattie Boyd. She had affairs with Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger and Bob Dylan. O'Dell and Joni Mitchell vied for the attention of Sam Shepard while on the road with Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue (Mitchell referred to her in the song "Coyote" as "the woman down the hall").
As O'Dell writes in the book's foreward: "I wasn't famous. I wasn't even almost famous. But I was there."

The album features 26 tracks re-worked by George and Giles Martin for the "LOVE" show in Las Vegas, an incredible music and visual experience created out of the collaboration between The Beatles and Cirque Du Soleil. The result is an unprecedented approach to the music.

'HELP!'
Directed by Richard Lester, who also directed the band's debut
feature film 'A Hard Days Night', 'Help!' made its theatrical
debut in 1965.
The story follows The Beatles as they
become passive recipients of an outside plot that revolves around
Ringo's possession of a sacrificial ring, which he cannot remove
from his finger.
As a result, he and his bandmates John, Paul and George are chased from London to the Austrian Alps and the Bahamas by religious cult members, a mad scientist and the London police.

Paul McCartney's recent "classical"
oratorio is called Ecce Cor Meum, which translates as "Behold
My Heart." The idealistic texts, also by McCartney, are meditations
on goodness, spirituality, peace, and love, and are well served
by the pretty, Romantic melodies; the long choral and orchestral
sections flow one into the next. The Interlude (composed after
the death of his wife, Linda), with its lovely oboe solo, is simple
and moving. The music builds throughout to an emotional climax
and the entrance of the organ later in the work--beautifully played
and handsomely recorded--is quite remarkable. This is a far more
advanced work than 1991's Liverpool Oratorio: better orchestrated,
more through-composed. No, it's not the last word in compositional
sophistication, but it has many beautiful moments, and McCartney's
legions of fans will need to own it.

An original rock band from Chicago called THE PONDHAWKS has caught the attention of Paul McCartney fans, because of a song thought to be about McCartney's ex, Heather Mills. The song called "Crying Hyena" written by PondHawks' front-man Mario Novelli is about all the lying, greedy, gold diggers of the world. Radio stations in London have been playing the popular song and UK papers are referring to Heather Mills as a "hyena."
Novelli and Jorie Gracen, a rock photographer and author who penned a bestseller about Paul McCartney (I Saw Him Standing There" - Billboard Books), formed The PondHawks in March of 2007 and the band's popularity has skyrocketed ever since. With a new album in the works and original music posted on the band's myspace site, the band has gotten a barrage of hits. Gracen says, "The PondHawks have a huge following of mostly teens and twenty-somethings who prefer the style of our music, which is great for us."
The PondHawks also have friends like Brian Ray of Paul McCartney's band who gave the fledgling group a tip on how to make the perfect mix of "Midnight Howl," a song that won the 2006 WGN TV (Superstation) "Battle of the Bands." Other industry people have also taken notice of the band's unique sound influenced by The Beatles, Wings, ELO and Pink Floyd. The band hopes to be signed to a label.
There is a music video of "Midnight Howl" shot by famed videographer, Randy Reisen who worked with Paul McCartney ("The Space Within US") and Bon Jovi. "Snowball" the famous dancing cockatoo seen on David Letterman and Animal Planet is featured in The PondHawks' video "Crying Hyena." Both videos are on youtube and on The PondHawks myspace page.
Currently, Gracen and Novelli have been busy writing, arranging and producing The PondHawks debut album "The PondHawks Have Landed" which will be finished early next year.
Regarding "Crying Hyena" Novelli says, "The pen has always been mightier than the sword. Hopefully the song will be a catharsis for those who have been victims of crying hyenas."

X Factor chiefs have Sir Paul McCartney lined up for live final
Sir Paul McCartney to be the special guest star on the show's live final next month.
The former Beatle is in talks to take to the stage on December 13 for his first appearance on the hugely popular ITV series.
If Macca signs, the theme for the grand
final would be Beatles week, which has been postponed from tonight's
show. An X Factor insider revealed: "The big plan by Simon
Cowell is to get Sir Paul for the final, which would be just fantastic.
"Everybody knows the Beatles wrote some of the best songs in history so it would be a sensational end for the series."
Tonight the contestants will belt out numbers by either Wham or from George Michael's solo career.

Tomorrow, Mariah Carey will perform her new single, a cover
of Foreigner's hit I Want to Know What Love Is. She had been due
to star on rival show Strictly Come Dancing but pulled out at the last moment, leaving BBC bosses accusing Cowell of dirty tricks.
Cowell said Mariah made her decision after hearing that X Factor gets at least two million more viewers. He added: "She wants to go where the biggest audience is and who can blame her?"
Last weekend X Factor got its highest ratings of the series for Saturday night with the audience peaking at 14.1 million.

VH1's The Making of The Beatles: Rock Band
Harmonix and MTV Games have teamed up with VH1 (also owned by
Viacom, for the record) to create a special look at how The Beatles
Rock Band was created, including footage of surviving Beatles Paul McCartney
and Ringo Starr
at Abbey Road Studios being
presented with work in progress by the Harmonix creative team.
That special, "The Making of The Beatles: Rock Band" is 30 minutes long and features interviews from Giles Martin (co-producer of The Beatles LOVE album project) and The Beatles: Rock Band music supervisor), and Alex Rigopulos, co-founder and CEO or Harmonix Music Systems and his development team. The special also promises to reveal the origins of the game and a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the music video game. The Making of The Beatles: Rock Band will premiere Friday, November 27th on VH1 Classic at 7:30 PM ET/PT.
