Essential elements of a quality education is involvement in the arts, which plays vital role in the social and academic success of our children. Research clearly indicates that young people who regularly participate in the arts are more likely to be recognized for academic achievement.
Unfortunately, school districts are required to make tough choices when allocating funds and, oftentimes, art programs and other worthwhile academic endeavors are adversely affected. THEA Foundation wants to help fill in the gap.
Along with Chesapeake Energy, THEA Foundation is pleased to donate art supplies to 26 elementary schools throughout the five counties that make up the Fayetteville Shale area. We will be bringing a truckload of art supplies to these counties for distribution to elementary schools.
