This Blog has been created by Patricia (Pat) Preston, foremost “Ireland Expert” in the US. The former Public Relations Manager of the Irish Tourist Board in the N.Y. and now a full-time freelance writer, Pat is the author of 15 books on Ireland, hundreds of newspaper and magazine stories, and the web site, IrelandExpert.com, currently marking the 11th anniversary of its founding (1998-2009).

Pat’s newest book, Ireland Travel 101,  was published in  May, 2009.

In the past 16 years, Pat has also led 29 group tours to all parts of the Emerald Isle, and will be leading her 30th tour from August 9-18. 

Pat is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA), the International Travel Writers Alliance (ITWA) and Phi Delta Kappa International Honor Society.
