Comment trouble?

I’m really sorry about that.  I’m busy evaluating whether I should switch blog sources.  I love Apple, but their Blog software and server is the worst product they’ve ever put out.  I appreciate your perseverance to leave a comment.  It’s incredibly annoying that it doesn’t always happen as it should.  Usually it does, but not always.

Until I figure out how to make the switch, or someone at Apple decides the blog world is a priority, here’s a few tips that might help.

  1. 1)First and most important.  Always copy your comments when you finish typing them but before you submit them.  That way if there is a problem you don’t have to type the whole thing over again!  You can just paste your comment back in on your second try.

  2. 2) There are actually two sites, one is web.mac.com... the other is web.me.com and so on. They are identical but only one allows comments.  If the url says web.mac.com, then you are on a mirror but wrong site.  click on this link and try your comment again.

  3. 3) if You’re on the right site (and you probably are) you should know that one of the very annoying glitches is that if you get the security code/spam blocker wrong the first time, you might as well start over.  It won’t work again no matter how many times you try again.  Instead, just close the comment window and click on add new comment again, paste your comment in the new comment box and carefully type in the new security code.

  4. 4)Sometimes you’ll see a “I’m having trouble processing your request.”  This is a server issue with .mac, I’m pretty sure.  The only thing to do is try again.  IN my experience if you try 2 or three times in a row (remember copy and paste) it will work.  If you try a few times and it doesn’t work, there’s nothing to do but come back later.  I’m really sorry about that.

  5. 5)If you don’t have time for all this, and I don’t blame you if you don’t, feel free to               your comment with the name you’d like in the comment box and I’ll put it in for you.

Again my apologies!

See you in cyberspace.
