It’s with real pleasure that I can say today that very soon the IBSF will propose to each to its members the offer to obtain a set of « IBSF Templates »

In cooperation with Wiraka, the IBSF have decided that it is necessary to approach the problem of different size pockets, by standardising the pocket sizes all around the world for the amateur side of the game.

Each IBSF member will receive a letter to propose them to buy an official set of « IBSF Templates », which are the templates the IBSF will now use for each World Championship on the new IBSF-Wiraka tables ( see my blog dated June 8th)

This set of templates will be presented in a wooden box and each set will have an official engraved serial number to prevent any unofficial copy.

The price of each set is USD 200 plus freight costs, and all orders should be sent directly to Wiraka.

To save on the freight costs, it will be possible to place orders for Template sets and to collect them next November in Thailand, during the World Snooker Championships.

With the introduction of new IBSF Templates, every member should be able to ensure that their tables are in exactly the same condition as in each IBSF World event, and I’m sure that all players will appreciate this new initiative.

It should now be the the last time that we hear that tables were « more easier «  or « more difficult » in different locations.

My wish is now to see all of the IBSF regions adopt the same standard, to be sure that all amateur players around the World will play with the same conditions !
