I have been in the field of networking for more than 25 years and have worked in academia (Washington University in St. Louis and now Stanford), startups (Growth Networks and others), a large company (Cisco), a top tier venture capital firm (NEA), and a federal funding agency (NSF).
My professional life has been a great ride -- opportunities to learn, contribute, create value, work with great people, and have fun in the process. I have been involved in OpenFlow and Software Defined Networking since coming to Stanford in 2007 -- one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life.
