What We’re Up To

We’ll be continuing our work with letters this month.   A-1 and A-2 are working at different paces, so please check the daily emails to see what letter your child is working on.

Our color of the month is red, so have your children wear lots of red so we can make a big deal of it.  The shape we’ll be working on is the heart.  Please look for hearts in your environment.  They should be EVERYWHERE!

We’ll be studying fire fighters, fire trucks, and fire stations. This will be a particularly messy month involving lots of red paint.  Please dress your children accordingly.  Thanks!

We will also begin studying how trees are homes to animals.  We’ll create our own tree that we will use to create animal homes.  Please notice with your children how animals use trees as their homes in our environment!

We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on the 14th.  I’ll be sending home a list of names if your child chooses to bring valentines for their friends.  This is completely optional.  We’ll have a low key party that day with some fun Valentine’s Day centers.
