Paradise

Collaborative installation with Ta-Chi (Jeff) Chen of Flora NY

for the Horticultural Society of New York’s Spring Gala on April 28, 2009.

Materials: Various flowers and plants, lampworked glass plants and pods, water, fish, glass tanks. The theme was “This Side of Paradise”. We deconsturcted the flowers and reassembled them in configurations that do not occur in the natural world. Combined with lampworked glass plants and seed pods, we added a beta fish to each tank to help viewers navigate the complex composition.
