FROZEN PARADISE 1-27-07
Who thought palm trees could grow in -10 degree windchills? That’s exactly what happened at the St. Paul Winter Carnival in St. Paul, Minn. — just an hour west of the home base of the Chippewa Valley Parrothead Club. A frozen paradise was sculpted from frozen Lake Phalen in St. Paul and Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis, complete with palm trees and Jimmy Buffett’s retired airplane, The Hemishere Dancer. Can anyone say “frozen margarita?”
