Our Community
. . is a varied and friendly group of sailing enthusiast’s who, under the auspices of the Pointe au Baril Islander Association (PABIA) conduct weekly regattas throughout the summer months.
Located in the Georgian Bay Archipelago approximately two and a half hours north of Toronto, dinghy sailing has been a part our island lifestyle for over 100yrs.
Originally with sailing canoes, the dinghy fleet has progressed from Ackroyd’s, and Grew’s to predominate with the more modern day Laser, Flying Scot, Albacore, and various multi-hulls. Races are run every weekend, and whether you are an experienced skipper, or novice, we welcome you all. If you are looking for a crew position or interested in training for youth, please inquire by contacting the commodore or, any member.. welcome!
Please see the schedule page for time and dates for 2009.

Thank You all for persisting through varied weather patterns this summer. We had some unexpected drifters, and “blow out’s”.. I end my 2 years as your Commodore, and will be handing the duties over to Co-Commodore’s Doug Malcolm, and Jamie Isbester
This will be a very competent team.
Enjoy a safe and healthy winter....boy was that summer toooo short...!
John Lawler.... Mellow Yellow!
