I’ve been trying to mail back a Netflix movie for the past 2 days, but I cannot find a mailbox. Sure, I could go to the post office, but then I could also go to Blockbuster. Not going to happen! I went to Fedex Kinkos to make a photocopy of something before mailing it, walked to the counter and asked the young lady working there if there was a mailbox anywhere in this strip mall heaven. She said “the mail room might take usps mail.” Silly me, I thought she meant the Kinkos mailroom, so I was about to hand the letter to her. The puzzled look on her face made me ask for clarification. She said “the Mail Room - it’s right down {street name}.” I’d actually have to drive to a separate place of business to mail a letter?! Wow! I thanked her and left. I ended up going back home and depositing the letter in the outgoing slot in my building’s mailbox, which is only big enough for letter size envelopes. I guess when “they” designed the mailbox, nobody ever thought the day would come when mailing DVDs would become more important than mailing letters. How times change.

Where are the Blue Boxes?
