If you’re looking for a quick day hike in the area (or close enough, I guess), check out the Billy Goat Trail. It’s a challenging trail, but well worth it. I’d say that it’s definitely not for the out-of-shape because there are areas where you have to leap over sizeable gaps in the boulders and also the 40-ft scale. Check out my pictures here. Wear good hiking shoes. Sneakers are not recommended because the rocks can be slippery if covered with sand. In fact, there are some areas where you really do have to sit and slide down a boulder because it’s so smooth. All in all, a fantastic day. I should say that I’m a novice hiker and this was a great experience. So, as long as you’re up for a great challenge, go for it!
