On my last flight to the west coast, I took US Airways, connecting from Charlotte. Flight time - 5 hours. I knew they already did away with free food, so I wasn’t even expecting snacks. I had my own snacks and food. To my surprise, I was offered two packets of mini pretzels. I accepted even though I didn’t want or need them. What I was handed was a wonderfully unexpected blog-tastic packet of pretzels. I felt the inside and thought “YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?” Say it ain’t so!! This one was a keeper. I kept the packet all through my trip and brought it back home. Here’s what was inside - IMG_4231.JPG. I shytt you not.
Hilarious...or maybe not.
On a 5-hr flight? Is this even worth the energy spent opening the packet? What is the ratio of pretzel:salt crystal?
Here this, US Airways - it’s far better to not offer anything at all than to offer 3-1/2 pretzels + crumbs on a trans-continental flight.
This is what air travel has become. But what can we do? We sit back, grin, and bear it. Or drive.

What you get for the money
