Finally...spring is here! Or almost. It was 73 degrees today. I love it. Not because I particularly like heat (I would be content with an annual maximum temp of 75 deg F, in fact), but because I don’t have to worry about busting my arse when I go running. Here’s hoping that there’s no more white stuff in store.

I must comment about how everything shuts down when there is a whiff of solid precipitation in the future. It’s downright hilarious. I know, I know...people who have lived in the North tend to brag about how tough they are in the winter and sometimes it can be irritating, but even I cannot get over the hysteria over 1 inch of snow in these parts. This isn’t exactly SoCal or anything. The mid-atlantic does get some snow! Anyway...it was pretty while it lasted. Check out Baker Park after the ice storm.

Now, kids, good luck making up those snow days! :-)

The Great Meltdown
