The Notre Dame Senior class plus advanced students of art and Latin will visit New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in Wednesday, 29 October 2008.  We will gather at the Mansion at 6:30 a.m. and depart for New York by bus at 7:00 sharp.  The day will include small group tours of the newly-reinstalled Greek, Roman, and Etruscan galleries; Egyptian art; modern art; and a special exhibition of masterworks acquired during Philippe de Montebello’s 31-year directorship of the museum.  We will have dinner at the South Street Seaport and return to NDA at approximately 9:00 p.m.
