Out of the Gutter Comedy has spent the past few years explaining Portuguese Americana one show at a time! Portuguese Americana is a comedic view on being the child of an Immigrant. The troupe takes a normal (or sometimes not so normal) situation, and presents it through the eyes of a “typical” American family. They take that same exact scenario and put a cultural spin on it, so you may see it through the eyes of a “typical” Portuguese family. How would they handle a car accident? Is pregnancy taboo? And what if their only son...came out of the closet? Out of the Gutter Comedy touches upon all these subjects and many more to create a show that is original, nostalgic and hilarious.
