Saturday's Hayride information: Families with young children (birth - 4th grade) - If you haven't signed up to join us for the Hayride this Saturday November 7th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., it's not too late! Please call Amy Souleyrette at 482-4003 by this Friday. All families are bringing food items so that we can enjoy a hotdog lunch together.
IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER - we will meet and eat at church rather than cancel. The preschool children can play with the toys in the nursery and Christ Kids room. There will be games for the school age children to enjoy.
If it doesn't rain, we will meet as planned at Dicky and Becky Jenkins' farm. Their address is 828 Johnson Rd. Oliver Springs, TN 37840. If you can't do google maps or don't know how to find Tom and Tina's house (they are neighbors), call Amy for directions.
Moms In Touch: If you would be interested in getting together with other ladies and praying for the Oak Ridge Schools, a group meets every Tuesday morning at 9:00am right up the street from the church, 102 Olean (off Outer Drive which is off of Ogontz Rd). Middle School Youth Group: will meet Sunday night from 5-6pm.
High School Bible Study: will be going to Cades Cove after church this Sunday, (11/8). We will stay for a lunch immediately after Worship Service then leave. Bring a sweatshirt and $$ for food on the way home.
A note from George Singleton's Community Group- starting a new study this Sunday, November 1st: Life is full of uncertainties. We seem to live in times of economic uncertainty, questions about moral relevancy, relationship insecurity, and theological ambiguity. Some people say uncertainty is the only certainty. Can we really be sure of anything? This study titled “Beyond Doubt” is intended to help us discover and reaffirm the certainties of Christian Life. These four sessions from 1 John will focus on certainties of the Christian life. The study is about who Jesus is and why He came, the assurance of salvation, criteria for discerning truth, and living with confidence.
Everyone is welcome to join us. We begin at 9:45 in the CCC Sanctuary every Sunday morning.
Holiday Class Breaks: Please note that during the upcoming holidays, we will not meet for Sunday School/Community Group hours on November 29th (Thanksgiving), December 27th (Christmas) and January 3rd (New Years). We will remind you again as the time gets closer. Worship Services will begin as usual at 10:45am.
The Wednesday Women Bible Study has begun another opportunity to join November 4th through December 16th from 9-11 a.m. with Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, and Kay Arthur through Annointed, Transformed, and Redeemed, A Study of David here at the church. One of the unique things about this particular study is the chance to get to know three very gifted Bible teachers in one series. Workbooks are available for purchase at the Cedar Springs Bookstore here in Oak Ridge under Kathy Jenkins’ name or at Lifeway in Turkey Creek. Please plan to preregister with Kathy at 482-2401 or dankathyjenkins@bellsouth.net. Childcare is available.
Men’s Group meets every Saturday at 7-8:00am to share our struggles, our victories, our lives with each other. If you need/want a group of guys in your life, join us!
