One River is a 501(c)3 educational institution promoting conversation on matters of religion, science, spirituality, and ethics. Founded by Rabbi Rami Shapiro in 2000, and guided by the dialogical theories of Martin Buber, David Bohm, J. Krishnamurti, and Margaret Wheatley, our conversations establish what Buber calls a “living mutual relation” among participants, providing a matrix for friendship, self-realization, and community.
