Breathing Techniques

Nadi Shodhana translates as “cleansing passage”, it is a simple version of alternate nostril breathing which is used to simultaneously lengthen the exhalation and the inhalation; it’s purpose is to clean and open the internal passageways. To practice, breathe in through the slightly closed (left) nostril and breathe out through the slightly closed (right) nostril. Then breathe in again through the slightly closed (right) nostril and breathe out through the slightly closed (left) nostril, and so forth.
