Telekinesis.  Turn your remote into a keyboard.  A really small, white, ten-command keyboard.
Got a new Mac recently?  You probably have one of these too.
The Front Row Remote, also known as the Apple Remote, is included with all the new Intel Macs, and with the latest generation of G5 iMacs.

The only problem is, you can’t do enough with it!  Sure, it’s great for adjusting volume, and choosing songs to listen to, photos to view, and movies to watch, but that’s really all the Apple Remote does... until now.
Telekinesis is quite easy to use.  You can use any button on your remote to virtually press any key combination on your keyboard.  In other words, with Telekinesis, anything you can do with your keyboard, you can do with your remote.

To use Telekinesis, run the App.  You’ll notice an apple remote-looking graphic in your menubar.  Click this to bring up a menu.  From that menu, you can Disable/Enable Telekinesis to handle your remote, or configure your key settings, as pictured above.

To configure the key settings, simply choose the desired keyboard command, and assign it to one of the remote buttons.  Command, Option, Control, and Shift modifier keys can also be used, in any combination.

Then, press the button on your remote, and the desired keyboard action will occur.
