The Colfax County Coalition of Firewise Communities is an umbrella organization in Northern New Mexico that provides support for firewise communities. New Mexico may possibly be the finest place in the USA to live in proximity to nature, but as communities and home-owners, we are alert to the dangers of living within the forest. Firewise means taking responsibility for where we live and how we live, before devastating fire can sweep through our neighborhoods.
