A Hard Day’s Programming
A Hard Day’s Programming
Lots of people wrote in to inquire about OpaqueMenuBar. And I thank you very kindly for that.
But since most of them were asking the same thing, I thought I’d write about it here.
Yes, it’s true, OpaqueMenuBar has some flaws. Especially with multiple monitors and “special” background images, like when they’re scaled or you’re using a pattern image, or have auto-rotation of desktop images activated. Or, in some cases, images smaller than the screen’s size.
I’m trying to fix this in the next release. Stay tuned.
As to opaque menus: I wouldn’t know how, so I can’t help with that. If my knowledge about this changes, I’ll blog about it here. But I think that would have to be a pretty nasty UI hack. And if things go wrong, you can easily make some enemies with that ;)
Once more, thank you all for your interest in OpaqueMenuBar. I’ll try to make it better with the next release.
Take care.

OpaqueMenuBar: There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief
