At the Oakbrook Academy we believe that recitals further enhance a student’s ability to perform and perfect their skills as a musician. Instructors prepare the student ahead of time allowing the student to feel confident and comfortable on the stage during the performance. Here are ten tips on recital preparation and etiquette.
Two formal recitals are held each year. These performances give students an opportunity to perform for audiences and maintain specific goals. We strongly encourage participation, as the recital provides an opportunity to experience the most important aspect in music study: sharing music. Because this is to be an enjoyable and positive learning experience, it is with the teacher’s approval that a student will be allowed to perform.
