Looking back on his career, Hap Klopp is pleased with what he has accomplished. The former owner of outdoor equipment and apparel company The North Face enjoys a legacy that now spans four decades. The company he ran until 1989 was where many top outdoor industry professionals cut their teeth at the start of what became illustrious careers. Klopp was also known for his implemention of revolutionary philosophies of commerce, product development, brand identity and management of staff. In fact, many of those where emulated by other industry companies and are still part of TNF business operations today. SNEWS® Live spoke with Klopp to get this long view on the company now in its fourth decade.
