Our Story

When we purchased Nova Cura in 2002 she was still in service carrying general cargo around Holland. Originally built as a Sand and Gravel ship based in Leiden, she was kept in that service until the early 60s. From this she was converted to a general cargo barge with several changes made to increase her load capacity. I think it was a sad day when the last owner said his good-byes, but it was day of happiness for Danielle and myself as this was the start of our adventure to create a new home, office and different life-style. Being now based in the centre of Rotterdam, on-board an approved historical ship, we have the life that we hoped for. There is still plenty to do on-board, but the real adventure is taking Nova Cura out into her true element around Holland and Belgium. Later, Berlin and then .......
