Art by Nina May

Nina May is a writer, artist,

radio commentator and

entrepreneur. She also

produces and hosts the

Renaissance Discoveries TV show.

Nina is the producer, director

and writer of the award-winning documentary, "Emancipation Revelation Revolution," which

shows the history of the

civil rights movement in America.

Nina's artwork has been displayed in several galleries in Washington, D.C. and around the world. Her paintings have been presented to heads of state and currently hang in several government and presidential palaces all over the world.

The government of Korea hosted her 911 series in 2002 and displayed the 18 piece show in the main lobby of their National Assembly Building. The series has been all over the world and several from the series can be seen on this site.

Nina works in watercolor and oil and has a variety of styles that she likes to use. She occasionally uses her oils like watercolors, thinning them to the point of ultimate transparency, washing layer upon layer onto each piece. She is very fastidious about the under paintings she produces for each work of art, and uses acrylics to create these. She likes to paint everything from portraits to landscapes.

She has traveled the world and painted on location in various countries including Guatemala, Monet's Garden in Giverney France, Dominican Republic, Australia, New Zealand, just to name a few.
